What We Believe
Crossroads Community Church is part of the Missionary Church denomination. Below is a brief summary of our beliefs.

God
We believe in one God who has eternally existed as three persons–the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is the creator and sustainer of all things, completely holy and just, and worthy of worship (Deuteronomy 6:4-5; Matthew 3:16-17).
Jesus Christ
We believe in Jesus Christ, the eternal son of the Father, sent 2000 years ago to be born of the virgin Mary. He is fully man and fully God, he modeled the practice of discipleship to us, and lived the perfect life that nobody else could. His deity and perfection enabled him to be the sacrifice for the world’s sin when he died an excruciating death on the cross. Three days later, he rose from the dead, conquering death once and for all. He then ascended to heaven to sit at the right hand of the Father (Matthew 1:18; John 8:24; Mark 16:19).

Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity. He personally works in the lives of believers, guiding them in ministry, growing them in their faith, and producing the spiritual fruits in their lives. The Holy Spirit leads us in our mission to make disciples of Christ (John 14:26; Acts 1:8).
Bible
We believe the Bible is the Word of God consisting of the 66 books of the Old and New Testament. Every word of scripture is inspired by the Holy Spirit and accurate in all that it reports. Scripture’s foremost purpose is to tell us the story of God’s plan to restore the brokenness of humanity through Jesus Christ. It is profitable for the equipping, teaching, and correcting of believers (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21).

Salvation
We believe salvation is the miraculous work of God that occurs when someone places their faith in Jesus Christ. The sacrifice of Jesus covers our sin and makes us new creations in Christ, saving us from the wrath of a holy God and allowing us to spend eternity with our Creator (John 3:16; Romans 6:23).
The Church
We believe the Church consists of the body of believers who have given their lives to Christ. It is not a building or place–it is a people united by the love of Jesus and their calling to his mission (Matthew 16:18; Romans 12:5).

The Great Commission
We believe the Great Commission as found in Matthew 28:16-20 is the mission statement of the Church. It is our purpose–our heartbeat–to go out and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Eternity
We believe that everyone will spend eternity somewhere. Believers, who are covered by the blood of Jesus Christ, will spend eternity in the New Heaven and New Earth with the Lord. The unrepentant will spend eternity in separation from God (2 Peter 3:13; Matthew 25:41).

The Return of Christ
We believe that Jesus will literally and physically return to earth in order to defeat Satan, establish his justice upon the earth, and usher in his kingdom (Revelation 22:12).
