Tiffany Schmidt
God brings people, churches and mission together in His timing. The Great Commission reads "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations.. teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." Matthew 28:19

Tiffany Schmidt is a wife and mother of three who attends Kennonsburg Church in Ohio.
Kennonsburg Church joined the Missionary Church in December of 2024. Tiffany is a youth director, organizes the kid's ministry and is a worship band leader. It has not been easy for Tiffany to obey the Great Commission, and to go speak God's truth.

Tiffany grew up in a large church family where everything centered around church. For her high school and college years she stepped away from church partying and drinking. "I left the church and took advantage of God's grace." Tiffany married then divorced. It was during her divorce she dove into the Bible stating, "I was so messed up. I was growing closer to God albeit the temptation for sin was stronger. It was a battle." Then in 2004, at age 22, Tiffany recommitted her life to Jesus; "I was all in. My whole life was devoted to God, and I did not want the world's way. I wanted to learn all of Jesus' way."

Tiffany's story began when she started taking Field USA classes for certification. She learned how to listen, pray, care and share. It was from an assignment to go, engage in conversation, and speak God's Word. How difficult and uncomfortable Tiffany was talking about Jesus to the unchurched. She realized she lived in a bubble focusing on kids, discipling kids in a "building" church. Satan used Tiffany's past to sway her from her assignment. After weeks of praying peace over a local business she felt the calling to go inside the building and called to speak to four people that night. She went in, ordered food and took the next 30 minutes speaking to one woman who was the mother of her son's friend. Tiffany was amazed at what a "hello" can do. This lady was not brought up going to church. Tiffany asked one question; "Tell me about your spiritual journey?" This lady opened up about her past to Tiffany. All it took was listening and asking one open ended question. Tiffany didn't need to have answers. She just needed to care. "I was blown away, spiritually moved, excited and encouraged." Through this one experience in being obedient and using the techniques from her class, Tiffany began asking God to show her how He sees people and to open her eyes to people of peace. "I feel I am ready for God to give me another chance (at that establishment) as I pray for their employees."

Tiffany's testimony happened because Jay, from Kennonsburg Church, came to Crossroads on vacation, had a conversation about Field USA classes and shared this information with his church. It is through obedience that God's harvest field grows and the lost are found.
